This specialised therapy in Panchakarma consists of herbal liquid medicine used to cleanse the body of toxins. A medicated decoction is administered through the anal region and can be given for detoxification, purification, nourishment, and regulation of the internal organs involved in digestion or other metabolic functions. This therapy also helps to improve longevity. Depending on the purpose or ailment, a combination of medicines and other ingredients may be recommended by an Ayurveda counsellor.
